I'm no expert by any means, but the timing events with these manifolds can make or break the hp/tq curve.[ The original cam was similar to a 440hp cam. I didn't want to over cam it and the MP .528 seemed like a good candidate.quote][/quote]

the rams i have are from a 300F [and i crushed that car back in my junkyard ownership days ! eek spank] and were passed around for years, hacked on by previous users, and last installed on a 65 barracuda, before the original owner [of the 300F] "gifted" this "mopar junk" to me one day out of the blue.
the carb pads have already had the four hole base hacked out, and the exhaust heat stove area is full of holes on both intakes. however, i have all the linkage, the crossover tube and connecting hoses, plus the center chunks of the intakes cut out to allow them to attach to the heads. obviously, some welding will be required for repairs to the heat stove area. i may or may not entertain the short ram modification at the time of repair to the heat stove[s]. as to the four hole carb pad hacks, i'm just going to clean that area up, and then use one of those mr. gasket adapter plates to fit the T-quad[s].
the dana in the truck has 4.88's and a spool in it, and i have an A518 for a transmission plus an ultrabell to use to adapt it to the B/RB whatever that ends up between the frame rails. with the 33" tires and od, it won't be too bad going down the road.

you ain't just a kiddin' ! the biggest drawback is the funds funneled into doc and hospital visits, plus not getting wore out doing mundane work around the house. thanks for offering motivation ! up

Well that was a lot of work for nothing as it killed the hp and torque.

When I put the hydraulic roller in my '60 Plymouth short ram car, I ask Dave Hughes about retarding the cam. He advised no way should I do that with his cam.

My car ran a best of 11.66 at 3700 lbs, My carbs were smaller Carter 500's (worked over) and I was at 470cid. Never had it on the dyno, but if you run the Wallace calculator on that run (using weather readings), I made 445 HP based on ET and 408 HP based on speed (rear wheel HP I suppose)..

in 1960 andy granatelli had a 300f with two paxtons on the cross ram. IIRC it went 176mph on the sand at daytona that year.; and IIRC the same car 190mph at bonneville the following year. makes you wonder how fast that car could've gone on pavement.

Are you running the 2266 or 2355 pistons?
