The Comp Sportsman bushed are very nice and pricey, but they are made on the small spec. I’ve used them on my motor and another guys motor. Both have a little excessive clearances and lower oil pressure at idle. Both ended up at between .029” and .033” lifter/bore. So i wouldn’t use them again on a stock unbushed block. Just my experience and fyi

Don’t have the specific info you are looking for. I do have relevant info though. I have used bams in sbc engines. They are high quality. As far as your application, I would suggest the solid body crower lifter. No oil band cut to deal with.

.029” and .033” lifter/bore Did you mean .0029" and .0033"? What you wrote has no oil pressure.

No oil band cut to deal with The oil band isn't the issue, the issue is exposing the oil passage at full lift because the wheel isn't shrouded.

The BAM lifters on the Hughs Engines site advertises fully skirted roller wheel pocket so there shouldn't be an issue. Gus

Would like to see a photo of that. I've not seen a set of bam lifter fully shrouded, as to do so would compromise wheel diameter. (but possible, sure).
What I did is order lifters first, then drop them to within .100 of uncovering oil gallery to determine base circle. Then from there, bring it to .100 of max lift before uncovering oil gallery to determine max lobe lift.
Probably could go further but didn't need to for what I'm trying to do.
Guess what I'm trying to say is, if you're trying to get the most out of an unbushed block, IMO, the best you can do is measure.

Yeah, I was thinking about doing the same (measuring). A smaller base circle is one of the options (besides bushing the block) to make non skirted lifters work. The BAM Chrysler roller lifters all have a .815" wheel - no idea if skirting is possible with the bigger wheel and a .903" diameter...

These are the BAM lifters with the 0.815" rollers: http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/...amp;level1=TGlmdGVycw==&partid=31343I bought mine 6 years ago when MRL had started selling them and they have proven to be excellent in my application (unbushed 400 block, street roller w/ ~0.640" gross lift w/ 1.5:1 rockers). I did have to do some clearancing on the passenger side-rear of the valley, because the link-bars are thicc boys that would rub the block.
