someone was trying to id them.
very distinctive hose. they said it was labeled jeep, but who knows.

Late 50s, & early 60s cab forward Jeep truck??? I think the radiator was attached to the front sheet metal, just behind the grille, and had to tilt with the cab for engine access.

jeep forward control cabs didn't tilt forward - the cooling system had a reservoir with the radiator cap on it scope

doesn't help, but I realized I was looking at it wrong.

That is the lower hose with the weird u-turn pipe. I thought that might be a sensor hole, but I am guessing now it must be for the drain.

I can't find anything that looks like this, and I can't imagine the engineer that thought it was a good idea.
Only thing I can think of is the fan would have cut into the hose if it had been on the other side like normal,

They could even be for some commercial application where weight obviously wasn't an issue.
