Hi guys. I need a shorty spin-on oil filter to fit a 1969 440 cu in motor, ( if there is such a thing)? If so, please give me brand name & oil filter number. Remember it needs to be short. Thanks for your help.

STP S-16 Is the short one for the 5.9 Magnum. It's a little shorter than the old style short filter.

Get the factory Mopar 409 filter. I use it on all of my performance stuff.

Wix 51068 might work for you, it's been a good one for me for a few years now.

the wix 51068 is 4.338 tall, while the regular wix 51515 is 5.178 tall.
another that is shorter, wix 51085. it is 3.790 tall or a real shorty, wix 51335 which is just 2.483 tall.
all of these are 3.660 OD and have 8-11psi bypass valves and anti-drain back vales.
the gaskets are also identical at 2.834 OD x 2.462 ID x .200 thick
all have the 3/4-16 threads.

these figures are from my wix master catalogue. hope this helps.

Wix 51516 is another option. Same diameter as teacup 51348, just a bit longer

If not worried about color I bought some Warwick as they were made by WIX and were Wix Gold.
Have a small sticker that leaves tgem card blue.
Cost was $1.10 to $1.25 each on closeout.
PF-20
Are identical to the Wix and Wix Napa and Car Quest.
I bought all 3 brands and all 3 sizes.
I can get some numbers off them if need be.
I had a silly moment when I did so and still have 130 something filters in the 3 sizes. From closed auto stores.
And convention oil at 0.59 a quart. And. Buck for Mobile-1
