I assume you mean bias or drag radials? The drag radials are harder on parts. CHIP

Yup!! When you start getting all the power to the ground, you find the week links in your drive train real fast.

Yes, I meant drag radials and bias slicks or cheater slicks. Are either one more forgiving than the other?

After putting on my new e/t street radials I'm pretty sure the driveshaft will be the first to go BOOM then the rear end.

A bias tire is more forgiving. A drag radial will make even a 10 sec car go into tire shake like a pro stocker on a poorly prepped track. CHIP

I thought a bias would be just because of it's less rigid construction. I want to put stickier tires on, but don't want to break it either. I'd rather peddle to get it to hook than have so much traction that it breaks.

Randy... You're not going for an axle??

What's the rest of the setup? A 12.7 car normally won't break parts, unless it's a 4-speed.

I went 11.4's for 2 seasons with a GM 10-bolt with stock axles and 9" slicks. The key is to never do dry hops, and roll out of the throttle gently when coming out of the water. Never "blip" the throttle for any reason when in gear, it loads/unloads the driveline.
