My question is regarding the number that is under the fuel bowl. Couple of examples are 0-2533A or 0-2330A.
Only reference I can find anywhere is on tomco-inc.com
Anyone know of another reference?
I'd like to know for sure what fuel bowl number goes with a TQ 6318 which is for 1973 340CID with MT.
Per tomco-inc.com the correct fuel bowl is 0-2533, but I'm not sure that is accurate.
Thank you all.

Thank you this is very helpful. This confirms what I thought regardin the 6318 carb.

Has anyone had any luck with fixing slightly warped fuel bowl? Maybe clamp down to something flat and subject to cycles of hot and cold? Ideas?

I believe they are thermoset plastic; so cycling may not work.
Not the kind of plastic that softens with heat.
Or could take a long time to accomplish.
Gaskets are around .027" thick, so they will "take up" some warpage..
The bowl will "move" once screwed down, so some warpage is tolerable.
Place some clay around it, screw down (somewhat tight) & check to see how much it gets crushed.

The top can be sanded flat on plate glass, but depends on total distortion.
Bottom is tricky cause of the raised ribs around the throats.

This just off top-of-my-head

of all the thermoquads i have messed with over the years, the only problem i have had with the float bowls is the glue coming loose, or cracking of the transfer "tubs" [for lack of a better word] on the bottom of the float bowl.
of course, this doesn't include the many i have picked up over the years that guys have previously messed with. these include broken bowls from missing the two "secret screws" in the middle, and cracked bowls from prying the top and bottom plates apart from stuck gaskets.
when going back together, i like to coat the gaskets with a light coat of white grease. like the commercial used to say, : "a little dabble do ya."
