I need to replace the passenger power lock actuator on my Ram. Dorman lists multiple part numbers for it based on if it's single cab, crew cab etc.. yet from what I can see through the online Dodge dealer parts lists it looks like there was only one part number for all the different body styles. Mine's regular cab.
Before I order something that's wrong has anyone replaced this before and know what's the right part? And since it's the whole latch assembly that needs to be replaced is this something that's better to stick with OEM? I don't want some cheap aftermarket part that's going to break leaving the door stuck closed. Or are the aftermarket ones pretty good?

Thanks!

I'd be interested in the answer too...

The rear passenger side door lock on my 3500 stopped working via either key fob or the electric lock/unlock switches.
I saw the various ones listed on the aftermarket, but I couldn't find any part number on the Dodge direct sites.
They seemed to list other stuff in the door, just not that...although I can still see them on their parts list "images".
But then none of the sites "I checked" break out the part numbers for discontinued parts anymore.

go to mopar parts giant. enter your vin number and answer any other drop downs questions it asks. then look thru the groups and find the part number. then go to napa/az/oboys/adv/dorman and cross the number. this is the same parts look up the dealers use. dad uses it all the time.

thanks for the site... I did that on some of the other dodge & mopar sites & came up empty.

Looks like if the power locks on the back doors ever fail you are out of luck...
Code JPB = Power Locks... and it seams they have discontinued making those.
Ram 3500 rear door locks
But they still make them for the front doors (I'll see what NAPA has)
Ram 3500 front door locks

Same parts list shows up for 2004 : 1500, 2500 & 3500

if you are friends with your local mopar parts man, see if he will look and see if any other dealer has them sitting on shelf. he can also check to see if the the site that buys all the left over stock from mother mopar

Tasca is what I use too since they're our end of the continent and not too far away compared to some other online dealers.
Still looking into it.
