Hi All,
My everyday driver POS 2007 Honda CR-V broke down on me at O"Hare airport last week and I need a way to get it home 150 miles to NW Illinois. Any local guys have a recommendation for a reasonably priced service? It runs and lot drives, the rear frame rail rust caused the right rear trailing arm to separate so the right rear wheel rubs on the wheelhouse. My local towing company quoted $650.00 plus tolls to go and get it. I priced a U Haul truck and trailer one way for around $250.00 but I would still need to fly in and get to the U Haul dealer via Uber or Taxi. I was hoping that maybe there would be someone coming home from Carlisle through Chicago with an open trailer spot. I am open to any suggestions! Thanks!

Why not just spend the money on a replacement vehicle? A car with that kind of frame rot isn't worth the effort.

Join AAA Premier, wait the amount of 'time delay' days for the coverage to activate, then have them tow you home. You get 150-200 towing miles free with Premier.

If my truck was not broken down I could do it, in fact I just borrowed my friends truck to do a transport to PA and NY, so I still might be able to do it, PM me...
