I purchased this 1971 Hemi Roadrunner that was formerly owned by Ron Adair of Great Lakes Mopars. Sadly, Ron passed away in 2007. Ron was a huge collector of rare mopars and owned my Hemi RR in the early 90s before trading it for a '70 Hemi Cuda to Mike Dozier in 1995. I have the complete history back to Ron, but nothing before that. Is there anyone here that remembers this car from Ron's collection and may possibly know where he got it from?

Yep - I agree with the others - Greg is the guy to talk with. I knew & dealt with & visited Ron on numerous occasions - wow I can't believe he has been gone since 2007! Ron was a character, but he always treated me well & was honest & fair with me. I do miss Ron - he was a wealth of information & had some NICE cars! If there was ever such a thing as a Mopar Hall of Fame, Ron would be a worthy member.

Well, GLNOS must be out of business. The phone number has been disconnected and GLNOS's ebay store is empty. Does anyone have a number for Greg?

Wow...some folks posting on here need to get out of the house and sit on their hands
Great Lakes NOS is still in business.
I don't understand why the OP could not do a "search" of the net and not blow up all the forums with the mindless chatter. It is not rocket science to look something up. So OP - Don't be surprised if you get no info after trolling this fiasco.

616-835-0320 Perhaps you should read my post again. I'm looking for friends of Ron who might know something about my car. How would I do that with a "search" of the internet? What, type "looking for friends of Ron Adair?" I was given a link to a website and phone number and both were dead ends. Trolling fiasco? Is that what you call trying to document the history a rare muscle car? I think your statement is misguided and quite frankly, rude. It's because of people like you that many hobbyists don't post on this site so they don't have to deal with jerks.

There was no trolling Ron Adair about the post RSI700VIPER made. He specifically asked for info BEFORE Ron’s ownership.

I see this a lot on this and other board's most post and do not read, or if they do read the question comprehend what they reading. And and answer with a comment that is far off the OP,s question asked.

I was finally able to get in touch with Greg, He said he remembers the car and described it pretty well - nice, rust free body and original paint but missing the engine. Said that Ron bought the car from a guy out in Iowa in the late 80s or early 90s. Greg went on to say that Ron went to Iowa to pick up a bunch of hemi parts and ended up buying the Roadrunner too. Ron eventually sold the car to Mike Dozier and Greg delivered the car to Mike who lived in New Jersey at the time. Hats off to Greg for helping fill in some of the missing history! I'm planning to contact Iowa DMV to see if they keep title records going back 30 years, Maybe I'll get lucky. Funny story - I bought the car from Eric H. who lives in WI. Eric only knew the previous owner and that was about it. Two weeks ago, a went to a small, local fathers day car show in PA and at the last minute, decided to bring the Hemi RR instead of the Superbird. It was the first show that I attended with the Hemi RR since buying it last year. While at the show, a guy walked up to me and said he owned this very car back in the 90s. That guy's name was Mike Dozier. What are the odds of that!?! Mike gave me the history of the car back to Ron which led me on this quest. He even knew two subsequent owners, one of which was the guy I bought the car from. Double hats off to Mike!!!
