rtrag OP member R Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 20 san diego,ca	I have a 318 that seems to be leaking oil from the dipstick. This only happens after a run on the highway.Can you have too much oil pressure?

buildanother I Live Here B Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 11,543 chicagoland,usa	One of the valve covers has to have a vent that may go to air cleaner housing or straight into atmosphere. It's taller than a flat cap for sure, and usually can have fiber filling that you can see through small holes.

stumpy I Win Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 32,992 Grand Prairie,Texas	A parts store might have a breather that will replace that cap. You have to have air coming in the valve cover opposite the one with the PCV in it for the system to work. Which is why you need a breather.
