anyone know if this piece is available? I actually need both the gray rubber filler and the black plastic piece that it screws to and retains the lower part of the grill.

I may be able to help you in a week or two.

I don't believe that piece is currently available....
HOWEVER....

I'm currently restoring a 1974 Cuda which I intend replacing the stock front bumper with a new reproduction 70 bumper and 70 bumper brackets from AMD.
I'm not sure how it will fit and if the filler piece will still be required to "look right".

If I don't need it, I can help you out possibly.

Alan,

You WILL be able to help in a week or two...

By using the shorter 70 style brackets, the bumper pulls in, and the space where the fillers went disappears...

It sits above the bumper brackets, and bolts to the core support.

so, I don't suppose anyone knows if these items are reproduced? Sure would prefer to use new stuff that is not brittle and battered...

No, they are not being reproduced.

The 1970 Cuda header panel is different then the 71-74's. It has large "C" shaped brackets attached to it that go behind the grill and support a metal filler that fills the gap between the bumper and grill.
