On my 62 Savoy I'm driving down the road on a sunny day and the widshield wipers start working on their own??? I can think why other than maybe the switch is pooched.
Anyone got any answers or had this happen to them

Unless it is turning into a "christine" I would agree. Probably have to open her up & see where the intermittent short is.

Yes, happens to me all the time... well, mostly when it's cold and/or wet out. and it only happens when I'm driving my Buick... I'm 99.999% sure it's the switch, since it mostly happens when I hit the turn signals or cruise or a really big bump... I would guess probably the same for you...

I heard of this happening and the culprit was a bad ground.

I'm not sure but there may be a tension spring clip on the back of the knob.

Slip something thin between the knob and the dash, apply some tension by prying toward the knob and see if it slides off.

Take a look at the wires at the motor itself if there's no insulation covering the wires that could be your culprit.
