hot rod mag from a couple months back says a supercharged 440 got to 1,400hp. it had sr heads w/2.25 intake ports. the engine builder was reached for comment, and said he didn't know if that was true. also said the head shop disappeared.

i dismissed it as a typo, but ran across a table comparing heads. all sr heads are listed as 2.19" intake, even indy cnc. BUT modern cylinder heads all show 2.25". anyone actually see this?

Even -1 heads come with 2.19" intake valves. Most serious efforts update that to 2.25" intake valves. Since the SR head is basically the same casting with a little smaller port I'm sure they can be fitted with the bigger valves.

I also welded my ports in to turn them into 440-1's
