Is the oil dip stick & tube on a 69 big block Dart suppose to go between the engine block and the exhaust manifold, or between the exhaust manifold and inner fender? Thanks for the help.

I thought the dip stick handle was suppose to be painted black, and the tube had a bend in it for a big block a-body car. In the photo your tube looks straight. So are the repo dip sticks & tubes being sold today for a 68/69 big block Dart totally wrong? Also what should the dip stick say on it other then add & full. Should it have a part number on it. Thanks...

That is the original dip stick and tube on my 69 383 GTS, I found orange on the tube and dipstick handle so I painted it that way when I restored it.

Can anyone else help out with the questions I've ask? Thank you.

The tube is definitely bent where the clamp bolts on the motor mount boss, look closer...

I thought the oil dip stick & tube came out between the engine block and the exhaust manifold not on the outside of the exhaust manifold.

Not on an A-body. Here is another reference pic...
