Anyone know if the older Hurst V-matic 2 shifter will work with a manual reverse valve body? Have been looking on line and just can't find anything.
This a dual mode shifter.

Thanks

That's what I have in my Dart ....been there for over 30 years, with a Cheeta.

Burn out.
Roll into the water using the non ratchet mode put it in second, set line lock, whack it, pull back into 3rd, and let go of line lock power out of the water. lift, then push the shifter forward into neutral..
Stage and run
Push the shifter down, into ratchet mode, bang it backwards into first, stage the car, bang it backwards every time the shift light come on.

The non ratchet burnout has been great ...second ,to third ,to neutral without any stops/ratchets in between. And it's all against dead stop gates, no misses.

i'm kind of confused.
if you have a reverse pattern, how does third to neutral work without going back through 2nd and 1st ?
or do you have a clean neutral valvebody ?

all the way back {3rd} to all the way forward (neutral) right through all the other gears (detents) no stopping at any of the other gears.

With a ratchet only shifter you would have to ratchet 3 times momentarily stopping at each gear
