Use a brite silver as a base coat and the the Chrome Rustoleum or Duplicolor. The silver base helps with the richness of the chrome. The problem then is to find and aerosol clear as a top coat. Some of the can clears can actually have yellow tints(especially when used over whites or silvers). You'll have to check with the manufacturers. Thanks for the reply. A lot of work to strip them and I don’t want to experiment and go through that again . The former owner used spray can “chrome” and it was tough to get off

I’ve spoken to three or four rappers they all tell me how incredibly difficult it is and they’re talking about 800 bucks a bumper this is a race car . Also I am told it yellows after a couple of years and once it starts it goes quickly my car only comes out on race day. Yellowing shouldn’t be a problem. It was about $200.00 for the wrap.

WOW $800.00 a bumper. Now I see why your looking at other alternatives.
Thanks!!
That’s basically an I don’t want to do it price . The only guy that spent any time explaining said high quality chrome wrap is expensive. He can only buy an entire roll , and would never get it right the first time. He said the ability to stretch is critical and the chrome doesn’t stretch around the corner of the bumper and becomes distorted. So you have to remove and toss it and start again . It does look good when done , but this is a race car and glass bumpers always seem to get knocked around at least mine have . That’s why the repaint So does anyone have a bright silver paint code?????

I painted mine in the brightest silver I could find. I have the code at home, and can get it for you.

I painted my buddies front bumper at the same time as mine. He had used the spray can “chrome “ as well. Was not fun stripping that gunk off.
