I think baggers are the big thing now. I still have my "Captain America and Billy bikes" Franklin mint diecasts from the movie "Easyriders". They are cool bikes!

Agreed! Baggers have taken over in the popular vote category, and lots of love for captain and Billy bikes here as well!
I really feel like the OCC bikes were toys for the rich for a hot second, then faded into obscurity again because people stopped giving a $hit about them.

They had their moment in the sun. Rich people bought them and not rich people financed them. Both groups quickly discovered these are bikes you do NOT enjoy riding.
Keep old mopars alive.

Partially agree ... from what i saw from those shows .... most of those show builds were hard tails ....
Nothing ever really goes away, it just ebbs and peaks. No one watching the OCC show really thought anyone road those things, the show was about building them and family drama. He keeps harping on the power and i get it but that's not what it was built for. Also - valued at $80K is subjective - did someone pay that for it or is that an insurance appraisal like jewelry where its way overblown?

I was an original bagger before they were popular - back in 1973-4. I was a bagger for Great Scott & loved it.
