does anyone know of a replacement cruise controll transmitter that is in inline with speedometer cable. looks like black plastic, cable in, cable out, and two wires with a plug. thanks john

Post a picture of what you have? That does not sound like a speed/cruise control factory part.

i have seen a box before in between the cables but i think that was for an emr light. maint reminder deal.

That is correct and my point. The part with two cables is for an emissions timer. The part number is for a electronic speed sensor. This sensor was used with EFI and electronically driven speedometers.

It's part of the Lean-Burn system.

After looking at that schematic I have what looks like a timer box on the inner fender also and was wondering what that box is for (79 pickup) was going to take a pic to show and find out.
