Hi
My wheel openings on my duster have been expanded for large tires.
I would like to put some kind of chrome wheel opening molding on them as the front has them and I always liked the look .
I was thinking a stock molding massaged so the short coming is in the rear then transition it into a rubber guard , the kind that runs along the bottom of the lower 1/4 .

Anyone done this or something or the like?

If this is the wrong place to post this lmk

Hey,

Just curious...Is this a "Race" car your talking about? Does it wear slicks and make passes? If the answer is yes to either then forget wheel lip molding. Its a bad idea and can be very dangerous. At least the tin factory type. Many race cars have met their end because of wheel lip molding cutting down slicks.

If its a race car, look for some sort of chrome plastic trim ... or painted on.

Have fun smile

I picked up a friends Little Valiant quite a few years ago and the quarters were really hacked up. I took the time to make some inner wheel house metal but the wheel opening just didn't look good without the lip. So I went down to the local auto parts and found this 1/4 " chrome sticky back mldg. I was supprised how much better it made the car look.
