I have the original 1965 starter on my Satellite. On occasion, it won't kick out and engage the flywheel, the starter will just free wheel. Is this the Bendix that's bad and is it hard to replace?

Or do I just need to lube something?

yes it is the bendix,nose has to come off the starter.

i used to have a car that would do that in cold weather,i found out if i ran the starter for a short while with it not kicking in ,thentried it again it would kick in like it was supposed to,i guess something had to warm up


my ladder of success is missing some rungs
