I file my taxes with this free IRS service but according to the site it will not be available till feb 12th. Are there any other free services that are easy and comparable to this ?
Thanks Mike

I read somewhere the feds aren't going to process any returns until mid Feb, so getting it in sooner wouldn't help much.

Yeah, I e-filed on January 16 and still haven't got a confirmation from IRS. E-filed returns go into a queue and will be handled in order of receipt.

Correct. You can file sooner, but they won't begin accepting/processing until the 2/12/21. Depending upon your state, there still may be an advantage to filing ASAP if you are getting a state refund, and you file your fed/state taxes at the same time. That's what we did. We filed ours last week, and I filed my daughter's today. My daughter also has to file locally. We're mailing that tomorrow after her manager signs her exemption form. She's under 18, so she gets fed/state/local refunded in full.

If one thought the IRS moved slow before, since the Covid thing, its gotten a lot worse and I'm not blaming the employees
