Have been without a computer for a couple weeks, but thought you might like to know...you may recall I had a fairly bad vibration upon leveling off at speed and slight deceleration in my '68 Charger w/ automatic and GV overdrive. I took out the nearly new driveshaft again (that had been cut and balanced) and took it to a different driveshaft shop. He placed it on the machine with me there and it was obvious it had a very slight wobble: not true/straight and the ujoint could also be slightly moved in the yoke (rear). They built me a new driveshaft using my front yoke and joint and I put it in and voila - smooth as silk! So...old lesson learned yet again: Just because one shop says it's good doesn't mean it's so.

Good to hear, and thanks for letting us know. Stinks that you had to go thru that. Might help to tachfully let the original shop know what you had to do to get it fixed.

I have learned that they will say it was fine when it left their shop and the user must have done something to it , especially when you take it elsewhere to get fixed .

No I haven't. I'm so jazzed the vibration is gone that I haven't thought that far out. I probably will but as has been mentioned, it'll probably be something "I did" that caused it to vibrate....

You might talk to them & if they give you any attitude file a report with the BBB so the next consumer will be forewarned.
