Yep as soon as they run faster than the Bow Tie babies and the Fords or Win a race , every body knows Mopars aren`t allowed to Win or be fast in the world of the NHRA .

Well then how was it that Leah won the championship in 2018 in a Challenger?
Dodge is more responsible for their lack of recent success than NHRA.
At the last few NHRA Factory Stock Showdown races the Fords stopped showing up - they got tired of being beaten with the rule book changes to slow them down - so that made it pretty much an all Chevy show with two dodges! The Fords can run into the high 7.50's in NMCA trim and be 7.60's to 7.70's un NHRA trim. NHRA has publicly stated they want the class to run in 7.80's -7.90's range because of the chassis certification being only 7.50. As usual NHRA ruins a very good and entertaining class to watch! To build one of these cars and be competitive you are looking at about a $500,000 investment to start!

After she Won the championship the Dodges all of a sudden weren't as competitive although this year they were close, when she won the Chevy Nationals that really frosted a lot of people , I am also hoping for big things from the new 2021 version but in reality I know politics will slow it down.

Pretty sure the politics at Dodge were why Geoff ended up in a Ford too.
Nope. Bob Tasca made him an offer he couldn't refuse. They saw at the races how well he did as a one man show and asked if he would be willing to help the Ford Cobras get on track.

They were not competitive this year. Fords were running low 60’s, or better.

True but Mark Pawuk was still second or third in points
Lot of those guys run NMCA events, so it was more actually being there, in the case of Pawuk. Skillman has run 7.55. Don't think the Mopars have been quicker than high 70’s... huge difference. Hopefully get a more level playing field this coming season

It’s a simple equation, for the last 55 years NHRA WANTS GM to win since it covers 85% of their viewing and racer base. The GM cars stop winning people start not showing up, shows over. Throw a couple Mopar wins in there to keep us happy, then back to the plan. What happened to Johnson-Dodge, the year AFTER his championship? It’s all about the Benjamin's. You can spout all the ideas you want, only one truth.
Thanks..I agree with you happens in NHRA and Nascar a few years ago. Don't watch either but compete at a NHRA track almost every weekend during the season only belong to NHRA because I have too to compete at the Bracket Finals otherwise I have no use for them and their shenanigans.

I started drag racing in 1964 at Mickey Thompsons Drag City in Fontana, CA. It was sanction by American Hot Rod Association that sanction many other SO CA tracks back then. I raced there maybe 4 times that year, trophy twice I got into racing NHRA stockers in 1973 and quickly found out that NHRA was very political in its decision making, that was when there were many other drag racing associations like AHRA, IHRA, PDRA and other smaller groups around the country. NHRA had to compete with them back then but not so in many years now do to the others going away NHRA started off with good intentions, once big money got involved all the good intentions went down the drain
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
