I have 2014 Ram 1500 with a RA3 radio. I currently do not have navigation and I would like to get it for my truck. I had thought that I needed to have a RA4 radio with navigation for it to work. I don`t really know much about the radios in these trucks but I happened to be reading that a RA3 can have the navigation activated by the dealer for a cost. If so, any idea what it costs ? Has anyone ever had their RA3 activated with navigation? Is there a navigation button on the radio as I don`t see one anywhere or does the touch screen button show up once activated.

It runs about $600 to have it turned on. It's a lot cheaper to buy a 7" garmin with lifetime maps and traffic from ebay. I found this and it might help.

" Late to the party but I just activated my navigation and updated the map for around $280 total. I went through a seller on ebay called navi-expert-uk. You buy codes from him. You buy the code, send him a picture of the request code your vehicle displays, send it to him and he send you back the activation code. Same goes for the map update which he provides the files too available via download. His prices are listed in GBP so you have to convert to know what you are actually paying. His map listing you can make an offer. Which he accepted my $70 offer. I'm very satisfied. I could have spent double and still would not have gotten what I did.
EDIT: I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. You have to read his listing to see if it works with your vehicle."

Yea, After posting this question I did some searching and I saw that too. That is more reasonable IMO.

Just for a update. I activated the navigation on the RA3. It worked well. It was around $215. It would be more if I updated the maps to current.

Thanks for the update, usually those are few and far between.

Did you use the person mentioned earlier in this thread?
