I’ve driven one in a 17 carrotvan... pretty peppy ! ... but is it on par with the reliability of the 3.6 ?

Thx

Basically a stroked 3.5L, owned 2 different Nitros with them. Never had an issue and they run pretty strong.

So the 4.0 that I believe ended in '06 was not the 4.0 purchased along with AMC? The straight 6 that was bullet proof?

Different 4.0, the AMC one your talking about is the straight 6. This 4.0 is based off the 3.5L DOHC V6.

I can't say I understand why they were producing the 3.5 and the 4.0 simultaneously.

Well since they are on their 3rd merger in 20 years I don't think they were all that good at business grin
