Before now I had only used 2 different plasma cutters. Both snap on .One was the 25 amp small unit.cut sheat metal beautiful. But it was so under powered that 1/4 inch was a pain. at $2,150.00 it was not useful.
Second was the 50 amp unit .cut big steel rather well .But the jet was to large for clean thin cuts.
at $3,825 it is over priced.
Any way back to the Harbor freight unit.
I bought the 40 amp 220 volt unit .It requires 20 amp circut same as the 25 amp unit from snap on.
I can not say how long it will last, but I Like it better than either of the previouse units.
One thing is the built in regulator so you don't have to worry about breaking it off the back. Big Plus.
It also has the small jet so it cuts really clean. It also has power to burn through 1/4 inch plate at 25 amps .I am looking for some thicker plate but Most of what I will use it for will be 1/4 or less.
On sale it was $649.00 and it comes ready to go minus the plug.
I am not selling anything I just was looking for a decent plasma cutter and I am impressed with this one so far.

Yes it is the 95136.
I just cut a 1/2 plate like butter.
5/8 plate cut but was kinda slow.
and a 1 inch plate .It cut the 1 inch plate but it was very slow and it did not cut clean at all .you would need to do some grinding to make it nice but it did cut it .
