I'm going to guess the timer (or relay?) for the ignition switch light, it's part of the light package.

Yeah, they usually get your attention RIGHT NOW, when door is open and you're fiddling under dash with stereo wiring etc....(they get warm..plus) Just bump your arm against it after door has been open a while....

Chrysler dealers still must have them, since same piece was used untill late 90s. Of course on a $20-30 price rate. PN 2889565 ( some crazy ppl selling them on ebay on $50-70 rate LOL )

But you can find the replacement on $6-10
