I drive my 68 Charger all over , to & from the track, COLD A/C & overdrive, so far 11.04 @ 123, 4100 lbs 3.54 gear, made a gear change to 4.10 but with all the shut downs for covid have not made it back to the track I’d like to hear the GROCERY LIST on this build ! ... pump gas ? Muffs? ... dot tires ?

It is crazy how quick the cars have gotten in the last 5-10 years. It used to be a car in the 10's would be competitive in the heads up, street tire class. Now guys are in the 7's and 8's with turbo combo's that are the norm. I still like going out on Friday grudge nights and thumping some late model muscle. The sad part is, it takes a power adder on top of a BB stroker to keep up with late model muscle anymore. Most of the fast modern muscle has power adders also ! ! ! Boost is a power adder. Just use a 7/16 wrench and you got more HP on tap too ! ! ! LMAO ! ! ! !

I've ran some of the local street car shootouts and do very well if there is a non power adder class. Against the boosted and nitrous cars, not so much. In fact if they're only running one class I stay home. No point beating on my junk with power adder cars running deep in the 5's in the field.

I was there Friday, this time with my Duster and the Dart....I did not see your 71 White Charger again, or I would have stopped over again...
The Duster is finally fixed and went a ...Slow....9.66 running it out the back end on the rev limiter. It should run quicker, but after all my issues with it in the last month and then on Friday, just getting it out of the trailer was an ordeal, the starter locked up, and a float on the carb stuck and put fuel all down the engine. I was really happy when it finally went down the track under full power.
The main issue was the ignition box....It didn't quit completely....really weird.
The Dart we decided Paul would drive because he is like 155lbs and Ron wanted to see how fast it could go....I told him at the top of 2nd gear it gets a little scetchy and to be careful as it moves around alot right before 3rd. Well, he got so scared, he let out before the 1/8th mile and we didn't get any times on it. He also left the switch for the line lock off and didn't get a good burn out...This is the same car, the week earlier I put three full passes on at 124mph with a pair of 10.90's....Ron loaded it up before I could make a pass in it...Paul said he ain't driving that car again....

There are no all motor street car classes around here. I was ALWAYS the only one running NA. I did better than expected in a few races, but it got old. So I stepped up and got a whole lot faster, but it still isn't nearly enough. Several 4 sec street cars show up to these shootouts, but I still raced for the fun of it. Now not so much...too many rule changes and BS.
