He racing brackets Fred or what? Still Mopars? Cool when you find some of these guys who've been doing it since way back when and still doing it today, like Ronnie.

Jeeze, I didn't recognize Koffel. The guy you're not certain of vaguely reminds me of Roger Lindamood, but I'm sure I'd be wrong on that one as well lol. Are Grotheer or Miller involved in any nostalgia racing these days at all Stuart? I know you had a recent photo of Grotheer with Buddy Martin and Dick Oldfield. Hard to peg some of these guys in the older pics with the crew cuts, lol.
My understanding is that Don Grotheer after many years of aggressively avoiding drag racing or anything to do with it, has attended a Super Stock reunion and is making a clone of his first racecar, which I think was a 57 Chevy. Bill

Those doors look like they were as thin as paper. Slightest opening for the wind to get in at speed and they shred.

Same kinda construction for the doors on my Colt --- yep, they will tear - especially if the 1/8" Lexan windshield comes in -- whoops

Usually in late fall, early winter, Chrysler would have a two of three day seminar. Talks were given by Tom Hoover and various other people, describing any and all details of the drag racing program - motor - trans - electrical - chassis - etc. And also at that time, tours of various race shops in the area and the latest upcoming race programs. Very informative and the chance to meet all the people involved.

I had read that the initial coupling for the dual mag/distributor set-up was fabbed up from a Hilborn fuel injection pump housing, at least that's what Dick Landy was using. This was circa '70, and I know Landy used that particular style, but don't know for how long. Have pics of it in an old book of mine.

Fred and others, that is the problem with the "collector" cars and owner/restorers today. No sense of accuracy or History. As someone recently said, "they are just the Corvette guys from 10 years ago"
