Good day
I was planning to remove the NP249 from my Jeep zj and install a NP242J T case.
Due than my Jeep is one of the first units (1993) ,it does mount the 46RH transmission and this requires a 1.55" input shaft in the transfer case.
My doubt is if i can remove the inputshaft from the 93' 249 Tcase and insltall it in the 242J.
I,m asking it because i have read something about the first units had a different gear cut and i don,t if this inputshaft will work into the 242 J T-Case.
