I don't need anything fancy and it is just to be able to do it 2 times. Today though.

I thought I could run a wire and pull on the latch, but it doesn't move till I turn the key.
Anyone know what holds that? I don't know if I have enough leverage to turn the lock with a wire.

65 coronet.
Kids need to pick up stuff from school today and they want you to pop your trunk to put stuff in it.
I don't want it bouncing open for pictures or them latching it shut on accident.

If you have a spare key, you can just leave it in the lock temporarily. It should stay in the lock while you drive to the school.

it is tricky to open. have to push down and turn the key. would be afraid they might break it.

but I guess that might be the only way.

Raise the latch a hair so you don't have to push down. You can always reset it later. shruggy

wound up just leaving a key in the trunk and telling them how to open it.
Went pretty smoothly.
