Ok, I am in the process of replacing the felts and slides within the window tracks of my '66 belv. I already have the vent window and door glass assembly out of the car, as one unit.

How do I remove the door glass from the track?? It will not slide out of the top, or out of the bottom of the track?

I searched the archives but could not locate anything.

Thanks!
Bridger

With the interior door panel off, You will see a bracket that the glass sits on. There is a plastic plug that goes through the glass to hold the door glass onto the bracket. Remove the plug. There is a push pin
in the plug that comes out to release the plug. Once the plug and bracket is removed just slide the glass up by pushing up the bottom of the glass. Keep lifting the glass up and between the door halves.
Then, it comes out the top of the door.
The easiest way to do it is by leaving the glass frame in . Remove the screw at the top of the class frame . Spread the glass frame apart at the top. You then push up the glass from the bottom. The slide helps guide the glass up and out. This gives you the most control of the glass.

I appreciate the reply GMP440. I was actually able to get the glass out of the door, the issue was getting the glass separated from the track, once it was out. It appears to be hung in the front channel, it would glide up and down easily in the channel, but would hit stops at the top and bottom of the track. I actually just put a little force on the glass and I was able to get it to push out of the bottom of the track. I will try to go back in with the new felt and slides the same way. Fingers crossed, unless someone has some guidance prior.

Thanks,
Bridger

Cudaman,
I have not yet bought the parts, but I will be sure and post on here once I source them all.

Take care

It has been a long time, but I remembered there is a tab in the gasket/seal that the glass slides in on the wing window trim.

Step 7:
When you slide the door glass out of the vent wing assembly you see a plastic and felt slider seal on the front of the door glass. Most of the time this slider has deteriorated and must be replaced. Sliders are available through Chrysler and are reproduced. They are difficult to install correctly. Take your time.

Upon reassembly make sure the seal slides freely in the vent wing channel. You have to drill or punch out the holes for the pins to attach the slider. Using pliers squeeze the new plastic clips and pins through the hole in the glass and the slider. You have to trim the slider to length.

found here. https://www.mopardiy.com/mopar-b-body-miscellaneous-mechanicals-guide/

no pictures. But as I recall it is at the top and prevents it from pulling away. you should be albe to slide it all the way down and see where it is hanging up on the wing window gasket.

I think there's a phillips screw at the top of the wing vent. That'll separate the stainless track from the pot metal wing vent piece, and the window will slide up out of the track.

If memory serves me right - this is correct. You take the 2 screws out - the top small screw takes out the rubber stop, and the lower larger screw separates the channel.
