I did some digging with the search engine and didn't find much...

Does anyone make a line of nitrous cams for big block mopar? If it's available I can't seem to find it. Recommendations?

Thanks all!

It will be a 440 with 9.3 to 1 forged pistons, polished factory rods, factory crank, ARP rod bolts. I'm looking for an NOS grind cam. Comp Cams has NOS grinds for Chevy, don't see anything Mopar. Spoke with Summit, Jeg's, and Mancini; nobody on the tech line has been able to direct me to a NOS specific grind cam for Mopar.

I believe 113-115 lobe separation, split duration with more on the exhaust side, and low lift are the keys to a good NOS profile. Anyone know of a good profile for a 440? I'll be running 150 shot and would like to maximize e.t. while on the bottle.

Thanks to anyone who has info. Monte Smith? Others?

Hyd. cam? Solid FT cam? Solid roller cam? Hyd. roller cam?
It helps to know this stuff.
I can tell you, with low compression, you'll want to keep the lobe center around 110, advance it maybe 2-3°.
What about exhaust, like headers, sizes...what I'm getting at is you'd be best off with a custom cam. And we can help.
I'm a Comp dealer, and engine builder. Tell us more, more, more!

The motor is going in a 3700 lb. roadrunner, so I was thinking hyd. cam, smaller diameter headers, dual plane intake, build something with nice torque and let the NOS do the work.

It needs to go 11's on a 150 shot of NOS.

Yes, but would consider adjustable rockers for the right cam.

with that little of a shot and the static comp ratio...your running..
forget a nitrous cam...its a waist of time.
just put the best cam in it to make the best power N/a...you have now based on your heads flow curve...and valve peaks.....
choose a cam for that...

then throw the 150 shot on that...
it will run just as fast...

it will be a dog on the street with a no2 cam.

cheapst.

I thought the 484 hyd cam was the largest recommended for stock valve train?

Regardless, I would be happy with a 9 to 1 motor running mid to low 12's naturally aspirated.

as well. Your over thinking this combo. Keep it simple, the NOS will work fine on its own in this application.

If it was me, I would use a solid FT cam. Hyd lifters can pump up easily, and when NOS is applied, the quick engine acceleration can cause lifter problems.
You don't want any valve float or lifter pump with NOS!
Just my Opinion ofcourse.

How about this split duration cam? Duration favors the exhaust, lift should be reasonable with stock valve train, lobe separation at 110 should work good with NOS.

Thoughts?

I am also a fan of solids.

If you want a hydraulic, I can get you an Engle grind in a somewhat standard nitrous format 230, 244 duration, lift .514,.539 113 lobe sep.

These lifters wont pump up when using adjustable rockers and no preload.

PM me if interested.

Do you have a part number for the Engle or a cam spec sheet?
