They do occasionally show up. You can make that one look new again by using the same product used to clean the haze off the later model headlights. I did it and the original on my '79 looks new.

I've seen OUTRAGEOUSLY priced used ones on ebay (around $150). I bought a NOS one on ebay about a year ago and it was pretty dang steep too but I wanted it. I cannot even remember how much now but around the price of the used ones now. Hopefully you can polish out yours, but they get to a point of no return sometimes. I'll keep my eyes open for NOS....I'm always looking at NOS stuff.
I really think LMC would profit if they started reproducing these.
Facts are stubborn things.

I really think LMC would profit if they started reproducing these. Kind of the point of my question. These wouldn’t be hard to reproduce in urethane. If anyone has a NOS or a near perfect used one I can make a mold off it and reproduce new ones. The urethane is very durable and crystal clear. I guarantee the safe return of the original and will provide a couple reproductions as compensation.

Just has to be free of any chips and be smooth, but cloudy is okay? The silicone used to make the mold picks up all surface details so a cloudy lens will probably result in a mold that creates parts that are hazy and not clear. Ideally it should be a clear, shiny part to make the mold.
