Even with it capped at 400 entries, IF 430 arrived on race day, Hot Rod is NOT turning 30 cars away. David once said if it went over, they would extend it, because of cars dropping out, most by day two. I know a lot of people complain about the higher number of cars allowed than years past, but remember it is ALL about the Live Feed, and how many people view that. Most cars are one and done now. If you only allowed 100 cars to enter, the Live Feed would be over by 11:00am. I can't wait to go again with HEMI Joel. Always a fun time seeing old friends, and making new ones.

In the spirit of Drag Week, I actually got my Dad and I successfully registered for Rocky Mountain Race week. I'll get my Charger back to Drag configuration, and we'll be putting together his El Camino project with a lot of help from a local race shop. He's been sitting on a Chevy 427 (638/575) he pulled from his Road Race car and a cherry, barn-find 71 El Camino with no powertrain. Probably going to try out one of the Pro-Trans 518OD's. They have been wantong to do one for a Chevy, and swear it will handle the HP.
We're debating dropping the hammer on (attempting to get into) Drag Week. It's a LOT farther away form SoCal.
11.33 @ 118.46 on motor
10.75 @ 125.35 w/ a little spray

That is awesome, the Rocky Mountain deal looks like a great time. It lasts too long for me to be able to do it. Being gone for drag week is hard enough without adding another 2 days to it.

I got in! It took me about 4 minutes, 26 seconds. Very happy! I have the motor and trans out of the car, so I need to get busy on it.
