I use the Moroso steel reinforced pan gasket on my hemi so no sealer needed. Gregs gaskets work great on a regular windage tray.

I just tried the Superformance pan gasket for the first time recently. It's the first gasket that has sealed after re-torquing it. I first installed it with 10 ft lbs of torque.. after it started to dribble a little on one side, I bumped it up to 15 ft lbs.. No more leaks !! Hallelujah!! I'm very impressed. I bought a set of their valve cover gaskets too. I'm gonna install them soon. up

With a billet oil pan rail the superperformance gaskets work well. I do use 2 as a crank scraper is used. Gasket is glued to the scraper and the rail and block get a little oil and when the pan is UNbolted the scraper falls off. Carbs get oiled as well up

One method I've had excellent results with is to RTV the gasket to the pan and put a thin layer of anti-seize between the gasket and the block. Have taken the pan off many times without replacing the gasket.

From the context, oil on the carb-to-intake sealing surfaces so the gasket doesn't stick to it.

I've never heard of oiling the intake gaskets to help remove them confused
I use a aviation gasket sealer on them to hold them in place and seal the gaskets to make sure they don't allow oil to be sucked into the intake ports between the gaskets, heads and intake manifold or allow the gaskets to weep oil through them into the ports also. That, oil leaking through the gaskets, is another reason I call them "Hemiroid "motors whistling grin

Try using Pam spray on for cooking on the carb gaskets for anti sticking lube scope

Hemi-itis : I like the crank scrapper. Do you use this in place of a windage tray? Did you make it yourself or did you order it from someone?
