I believe the 8 3/4 rearend did not come out until 1957. This is from a 36 Plymouth. 3.3 gear with an 8 inch ring. Numbers are on the bottom of the drop out.

Do they make different gears for them?

I would assume they did, but I do not know a source.

I don't know if Andy Bernbaum has them, but I think it would be easier to get a different axle. I had 4.11 gears in my '49, I am putting in a 8 3/4. Those brakes are under-powered and its more expensive to redo the old brakes on them.

Try this link http://www40.addr.com/~merc583/mopar/p15pdf/mopar_axle_sizes.pdf

I have an 8 3/4 out of a B body, 68-70, I think the later ones were too wide.

I used a 68 B body rear on the 36. Fit right up, no hassles. Big brakes to. 3.55 gear.

68 Coronet wagon 8 3/4 in mine. Had to change the spring pads (and they need to be redone), but otherwise fits just fine.

Rod

Which disc brake kit is that on that rear, Scarbird? Looks like the rotors are drilled for both gm and mopar patterns?
