A buddy of mine has a 70 Challenger R/T, exterior is black and he is entertaining re-doing his interior to all red. He's wanting to do the full blown red interior, where darn near everything is red.

How do you know what color of red to cover everything in? I would imagine each piece, such as dash pieces or door panels would have a slightly different appearance to it once painted, as in shading. Does every pieces (minus the seats) get painted the same shade of red or do different pieces have different shades?

Is the headliner and the carpet red as well, or black?

Lastly, what's the 'correct' red?

Any pictures would be amazing!

Thanks guys

Poppy red for the suede finish for all metal pieces, have to look up the number in my book.
Red visors, red headliner. Seat belt clips, for shoulder belts black, I think, coat hangers, red.
all plastic is red but need an original piece to color match, or formula from someone who has it mixed.
Check 1970 service manual if you have one.

So there will be multiple shades of red then I take it?

Also, is the carpet red as well? It seems to me the only thing that Isn't red would be the woodgrain on the console, steering wheel and dash cluster -- is this correct?

I use to have photos of that 71 Red on Red Hemi Cuda Vert from whats his face's collection but cant seem to find those pics
