I may be getting a 350 B engine soon, since it's pretty cheap, but wanted to know a few things about it before I take a trip.

Is the crank 6 bolt or 8 bolt?

Same journals as 361/383/400?

I assume it's a forged crank, is it just as strong as later B's?

Are counterweights light enough that it won't balance in a 383?

I figured the block wouldn't have the material for a 4.25 bore...am I wrong?

Rods the same as later B's?

Thanks in advance for any info on this...can't find any with Google searches, only find what it was in and hp levels, nothing this specific.

8 bolt extended crank, same journals, rods. etc. Very small bore. Interesting piece to own, and that's about it. Better have the block sonic checked, and custom pistons will be required. If you pass on it. I'd be real interested in it. As well as a RB 383.

the extended crank would be my concern. whether this is a problem or not will depend on the trans/chassis used.

I wouldn't mess with that motor, Mopar only made it one year and then moved up to the 361.383 and 413 motors work

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
