What's the best option to replace my 1970 Plymouth Satellite wiring harness? I located a classic car "generic" 12 circuit one, but wondered if I should get one made just for my car. It was an A/C car, but I removed all the A/C stuff. Just want the basics. Any suggestions? Quality at a decent price is what I'm looking for. Thanks. Chris.

M&H wiring; buy it at Year One. Not the cheapest option, but this isn't an area I would scrimp on.

You can try 'bay. Even a used unit might be of use. Of course new is nice.. but pricey. which harness do you want to replace? Dash?

Yes, the dash harness. I won't be needing the A/C connections, but the connections for the heater, fan, dash lights, etc. are what I need.

Doesn't matter you get all the wires anyway. Not an easy swap either unless you have the dash completly apart and the seats out of the car.

before you spend $$$ on a new one you could test your old one wire by wire...ohm test it. Unless it' all hacked up or burned. You might be suprised. I was going to buy a new kick panel to rear harness and headlight harness. I cleaned al the terminals up and tested each wire. They were all good. So I saved a few $$$ on that.

Good suggestion. I have almost all the outer stuff off the dash and a new used clean dash ready to go in, but once I get the whole thing out I'll better be able to see what the old harness looks like. A volt/ohm meter is in my bag of tools and I wasn't even thinking of using it. Duh on my part. You probably saved me a bundle. Probably was obvious, but you guys know that when a big project is in front of you a lot is going through your mind. Thanks. Chris.

don't forget to clean the bulk head. I went to Radio Shack and got a can of their cleaner/lube. That stuff works great.
