Now that I have my small block stroker timed right and running perfect, I now have a leak coming from the Oil filter area. could it be the gasket or the filter itself?? it is a very large leak..any ideas??
thanks moparts..

does it have a 90 degree adaptor?

did you check to see if there was 2 gaskets under the filter? needs only one gasket, sometimes the old one gets stuck on there and doesn't come off with the filter.

could be either, but I would guess the plate is not sealing. Take the plate off, and make sure the outer edge contacts the gasket before the center part touches the block. To fix, just put the plate on a falt surface and hammer the center of the back side
There should be NO gasket at the center of the plate where it screws into the block, just the outer gasket. I usually use some Permetex Indian Head gasket cement on the outer gasket too.

Is there supposed to be a gasket on the center screw in ?? the outside of it?? and you suggest tapping the center of the plate from the back side so the outer ring lays flat on the engine?? this thing leaks massive..thanks for the help..

I'd get the fel pro outer ring gasket as it's thicker than the outer ring gasket in the MP 3 piece kit. Clean the block recess/flat plate good, use some sealer on the above gasket & I think you'll be OK.

No gasket in the center, the center hole on the filter plate should sit flush to the block. In fact, having it sit above the block with the outer gasket, then the center bolt will pull the plate tight to the outer gasket.
