pull the yellow wire off of the starter relay to disable the starter then have a helper hold the key to "start" & you with your meter check for continuity from the ign key brown wire ign2 terminal downstream thru every terminal/connection out to the coil positive primary terminal/power in terminal on the ECU pentastar connector. ignwise if those 2 are being fed while cranking it will start

Straight forward to troubleshoot... Connect a jumper lead bypassing the ballast resistor, this will give max voltage/current to the coil... Run it for a short time and post back the results.. Better or worse?? Any changes?? Also be sure the reluctor gap is within spec.. Just my $0.02...

Got it figured out!
Was driving Friday when the problem occurred. I hooked up my spark detector to a spark plug wire and confirmed no spark when cranking. Buddy checked ECM with test light when cranking, POWER! Then moved to coil while cranking, POWER! So that left only one possible culprit, the distributor. So, I replaced that with a used one on Saturday and I think that did it. The car has been 100% since.
Thanks for the suggestions but I think I got it.
