All, I’ve seen a few recent questions about starters, best one, cheapest one, etc..... I’ve been looking into a good mini starter for my 360 (420 cubes) with a 904 transmission. I have seen some posting a warning to not use their starter when this combo is being used. What is the reason? Can anyone steer me in the right direction for the correct starter I need to get that will work, is a good quality, and fit well? I have the flex plate combo conundrum figured out, now onto the next one! Thanks again as always,
Wally.

Only thing I've ever used was the Chrysler Denso mini starter that was also sold by MP. Worked, repairable, never saw a reason to change.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

NEW STARTER DODGE 5.7L 5.7 RAM PICKUP TRUCK 05 06 07 08 2005 MANUAL TRANSMISSION. I have been told that this starter is clocked better and gives more header clearance.

I have the mp mini starter on my 360 with a 904 and it fits perfect. No issues at all.
Good luck Tony That’s probably what I’ll go with then. Not sure where I read about issues with fitment on the 360/904 combo...... Maybe it’s old age creeping up on me??? Thanks all! Wally.

old age combined with CRS does me in every time. Or maybe it’s the Anheusers..... I’ll keep searching and follow up with what I use. Thanks again all!
