I bought a new set of shifter rods for my 69 cuda. The reverse shifter rod is formed/bent in the exact opposite direction as the original and will not clear when flipped around. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks!

Original in place vs the new one. when hooked up as original it seems it's bent/ formed 180 off?

I'm thinking that may be the plan. Only modification is I'll have to grind down the adjustable part or drill out the reverse lever. Heck I'm wondering how hard it would be to bend the rod in the correct configuration?

i believe those rods are pretty stiff material. heat would definitely be needed, and once used, may take the temper out of the rod. if it were me, i would get the correct rod and be done with it. or contact the place you got the rods from and see if they would exchange that particular rod.
