Been running BFG T/As for decades and never had the white letters change colors. On the upside, killer wet traction for about the first 10,000 miles. On the downside, never got more than about 45,000 miles on a set.
Because of that last issue I decided to try a couple sets of Dunlop GT Qualifiers. Very similar tread pattern, advertised as 60,000 mile tread life, a few bucks cheaper and many reviews say they're just as good as the BFGs. My experience, with two different cars, is that they straight up suck in the rain.

Mickey Thompson Sportsman ST radials are good white letter tires for older cars. There made by Cooper. I went with the Micky T's to be a bit different other than the standard BFG's Nice tire

Amazing selection of RWL tires: I honestly didn't know this variety existed. (Looks like several of the following you'll need to highlight then click to go to site..or you can skip these links and look at the pics in the next post) https://www.amazon.com/Milestar-Streetsteel-Season-Radial-Tire-275/dp/B075VCS91X/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?keywords=MILESTAR+STREETSTEEL+P+275+%2F60+R15+107T+SL+RWL&qid=1571152569&sr=8-1-fkmr0 https://www.amazon.com/VITOUR-Galax...+275+60+15&qid=1571152477&sr=8-1https://www.amazon.com/Mastercraft-Avenger-Performance-Radial-Tire/dp/B00MY0OCXU/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Mastercraft+Avenger+G%2FT+Performance+Radial+Tire+-+275%2F60R15+107T&qid=1571152521&s=automotive&sr=1-1 https://www.amazon.com/Hankook-Ventus-H101-Tire-60R15/dp/B0055BP6HG/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Hankook+VENTUS+H101+-+SIZE%3A+P275%2F60R15&qid=1571152392&s=automotive&sr=1-1 https://www.amazon.com/Firestone-Fi...a1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Man! You guys are lucky. None of this stuff is available north of the 49th. I can get BFG's or Cooper Cobras - that's it!
I was happy to learn a few years back that the Uniroyal Tiger Paw was available with a white wall again - and in 14 inch sizes!
Love Uniroyal Tiger Paws. Good every day kind of tire.
