Hey guys rebuilding my 4-spped and wondering what clutch to buy? motor is about 500 hp but I am going to build a stroker and don't want to buy another clutch at that time. I herd people are using viper clutches ?

I think most refer to the viper clutch as the 11.95" McLeod that will work on the 11" wheel. What bell/flywheel are you using?

11" flywheel and a scater sheild. I have always run a center force clutch but I am very hard on clutches and looking for the best bang for the buck.

Holding 500 hp will be no problem with a 11.95" McLeod set-up. Do you have a 23 or 18 spline trans? If you want some pricing I have some listed on the web, or you can give Wayne a call here at the shop.

Mcleod dual disk.....

Mcleod street twin but they are pricey. I am on my 3rd clutch in 6 yrs. and wish I bought a street twin but I can't afford $900 on a clutch.

I bought a $700 McLeod RST Dual Disc. The best clutch for a street strip car under 800hp. Lightest pedal ever. I've been praising them since I put it in, so I won't bore everyone, but I'm impressed by it. I'm glad I spent what I did and not 1/2 for a Centerforce. The pedal feel alone is worth it.

What's the difference between the RST Dual Disc compared to the Street Twin?
