I’m really considering taking my truck 6.4 that is running with a carb and a cascar intake
Adding the swap parts As needed
Pan , tti 2 inch headers aei engine plate etc (Srt cam)
And install it in my dart
And hope I could 7.0 index race with it
Which means it would have to run 6.80ish
Think it could do ??
The car is setup nice and would not be holding the engine back
It has went 6.40’s with 1.38ish 60’s weighs 3000lbs
With the iron headed smallblock (408)

It would be close as the engine would need 450-500 hp

If thats all the HP you need you should be fine. That is like an SRT 392 if you put that cam in except lower compression. Your BGE heads that carry away the heat slightly better, better exhaust and better intake, properly tuned should have no problem makng 500 HP, the SRT does that with puny headers, MPG and emmision friendly tune.

My G3 Builder did a 67 Barracuda Notch back earlier this year race weight is 3200 , stock 6.4 Truck short block ,SRT392 NON-MDS cam, Apaches that were milled .030 , Car went 7.10 @96 with the XV Intake manifold and 6.81@ 100 with a Modified Ritter., I would think the cascar intake should crack 7.0. The Cuda runs a Twin blade carb and MSD Hemi-6 Ignition . they are running 5.57s in a Dana shifting @ 6600

On the dyno it made 515HP@ 6600 with the Ritter intake, I forget what he said it made with the XV , I think it was in the 450460 in the 6400, but TQ was crap.
