I need to limit my advance on this car I’m working on and this appears to be an option. I was looking at the complete kit with the ECU because this customer already has a factory mopar ecu on on his car. Does it have a cover on the back or is it open like the pictures? I was afraid it might get wet if it had no back on it. Does anyone here use this system and like it? I have heard that the center hole of the limiting plate is too big so it allows the timing to jump a bit.

If you whant a unit that almost look like the Mopar ECU unit you should look at the rev n nator that mancini sells ! I have used that for about 5 years now and it works realy great whit the built in rev limiter and it is a seald unit !

I have the kit on my 73 Charger. The kit works great, I haven't put the limiting plate in as of yet. I don't recall it having a cover on the back, not worried about it getting wet though as the factory one I tool off didn't have a back either. I had an ignition issue causing the car to not run, i bought a reman distributor from a guy on FBBO and this kit and there was no longer an issue with the car running. I actually think the distributor was the problem but I can't prove it.

If you want I can pull the box off and look, it's at the firehouse with me today.

Thanks for the offer but I can call them tomorrow. My customer hid his mopar ecu by the front headlight on his charger to keep it out of site in the engine bay. I’m afraid it might get wet.

ECU looks like it is potted with a black silicone like substance. Limiter plate works great. The kit isn't the most cost effective option out there, but does what it says it does. Rather well actually, and Don is a good support resource for non-pros.

I talked to him yesterday and ordered a complete distributor kit.

I think you'll be satisfied, I'm very pleased with my setup.

I repowered my car and switched from a Carter to a Quick Fuel carb. Don got me right up to speed on tuning Holley style carbs.
