update: New Tranny gets here Thursday or Friday.
Pulled pan on one we just had rebuild to see if sucking air around filter extension or anything else that would explain the fluid level issues /slipping/puking fluid.
Pan was a mess, steel on magnets and LOTS of aluminum in pan, some pretty large.
Filter was partially blocked off by magnet com[pressing filter.

Sigh.
Not sure what it ate, but it ate something.

Btw- just curious, Valve body has a number on it : 4058525 , anyone know if that a chrysler number or aftermarket?

Make sure the converter gets cleaned out if it had that much trash go thru it.

Thank you Doug, Bandit.
Really appreciate it.

Doug: I sent the converter back after tranny was grenanded, had it split and cleaned.
This tranny burned up the clutch's and we do have some steel in the pan- filter was plugged off by a dang pan magnet!!!
We also found some very small aluminum bit in the pan.
Im guessing something just didn't get completely cleaned or, fluid starvation galled something other than the clutches and plates.

Any suggestions on how we can clean/flush the converter here- we have a points race this weekend.
Tranny gets here friday, going to push to get done, make the drive, test, qualify and run - aint it great- whew!

Any suggestions on flushing is appreciated.

Fwiw- filter was very clean except dark circle right around magnet where it was pulling what fluid it could around it- this makes me think particulates probably weren't pulled through.
Thoughts, suggestions guys?
