It looks like I need to rebuild my convertible top pump. Any advice on the rebuild or a source for a good quality rebuild kit? I found a universal kit on Fleabay, no idea about the quality of it, is there another better source?

I'm assuming you have a pump that runs, but just doesn't move/pump fluid, then yes should be easy, I've not done this.....but see no reason it should be hard.

Take care,

Here is a link to a rebuild of a GM pump unit, maybe similar to get you going.

I took my 68 pump apart and put the E-bay seal kit in it. Here is a link to my pictures I posted on FABO. It's super simple to disassemble. After I got mine done, I heard that they used the same pump for years. Even a pump from a 90's LeBarron will work. Depending on the condition of yours, you might be able to find a good replacement really cheap compared to buying a rebuilt unit.

I also rebuilt my Challenger pump, got the kit from Hydro-e-lectric who also sell cylinders, hoses etc. I had one question and they answered it quickly and efficiently. I agree it's pretty straightforward to do. I plumbed mine back in and it all works as it should. My only issue is a small weep which I have yet to diagnose. I'm guessing it's the reservoir O-ring, maybe it's not quite tight enough (or too tight...?) which I was planning to ask them about....
